What You Can Expect

We are a congregation that enjoys worshiping the Lord together in song and through His Word.   We love to sing praises to God with traditional hymns and songs of the church and also contemporary songs of praise & worship.  We often join our voices together in Psalms of praise as we gather for worship and listen to the Word of God read each week.  We are a multi-generational congregation and enjoy the participation of all ages in worship in a relaxed but reverent way.  We invite you to join us.

When We Meet

We gather for Sunday worship at 9:00am.  NOTE: On Easter Sunday we will have two worship services: 8:00am and 10:30am with a fellowship brunch at 9am & Easter Egg Hunt at 10am for the kids. Our worship service is also available on our Facebook page. Junior church is available for kids up through 4th grade and nursery services for our younger guests during the worship service.  During the school year, we invite all to join us for our Sunday school classes at 10:30am. There are a number of opportunities for fellowship and study offered for both youth and adults throughout the week.   Check out our calendar of events by clicking on the link at the top of this page.

Pastor Bob Beckwith

Bob Beckwith has been serving as Pastor of the South Woodstock Baptist Church since graduating from Bethel Seminary of the East in 2006.  He is a retired music educator who resides in Woodstock with his wife Martha.  He is the father of four and has eight beautiful grandchildren. Minister Michelle Couture

Michelle Couture has been serving as Minister of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship of SWBC since 2017. Michelle graduated from Bethel Seminary in 2016 and also works as a Physical Therapist for Woodstock Schools. She lives in Woodstock with her husband, Doug and four children.
