Welcome to South Woodstock Baptist Church
Formed in 1792 as the South Woodstock Church, with the current meetinghouse erected in 1840, historical texts indicate the church
thrived as a “very live, active organization” -- a legacy our present congregation continues to build upon. We encourage you to visit our
service, classes and other programs offered and trust you will discover the church body to be strong in faith and relaxed in spirit.

What We Believe
We welcome you to peruse the
Church Covenant formally adopted
in 1987 for a more thorough
understanding of the principles and
practices of our faith.
When We Meet
In addition to Sunday School and
Worship, we also gather for classes,
fellowship, and various ministries
throughout the week.
What You Can Expect
All are welcome, so come as you are. Expect to worship the Lord in song. We incorporate contemporary praise songs led by our
praise and worship team, along with traditional hymns accompanied by our organist. The center of our service will always be the
preaching of God’s holy, inerrant and inspired Word. Children are joyfully nutured. We offer opportunities from nursery through high
school, as well as adult groups.
